How to Create (or Reactivate) Your AIDA Freediving Profile in 2025

Posted

Whether you’re just starting your freediving journey or planning to compete this year, having an active AIDA profile is essential for tracking results, joining competitions, and staying connected to the global freediving community.

If you already have an account but noticed your status is marked as Pending, Revoked, or No AIDA, don’t worry—it’s easy to sort out. AIDA recently sent out the following update:

Step-by-Step: Creating or Updating Your AIDA Profile

Here’s a simplified guide if you’re starting from scratch or need a quick refresher:

1. Sign in or Register (Free)

Sign in or register at https://members.aidainternational.org/Profile

Sign in and registration page for AIDA international account

If you’re new to AIDA, click Register and follow the instructions to set up your account.

Select your AIDA National

When creating you account, you will select an AIDA National. This will determine which country you represent, and which body you must be registered with.

If you are reactivating with an existing account, you shouldn’t need to do this.

2. Contact Your National Admin

Each country has its own membership system. You will need to contact and register with their system, and often it requires a yearly fee.

AIDA Australia is managed the Australian Freediving Association (AFA).

AIDA Philippines is its organisation.

There is no list of national freediving bodies, which is super annoying. When you find yours, message me on IG and Ill add it here @BookFreedivingRetreats

3. Confirm Your Membership Status

Once your national body has approved you, your status will change from Pending to Active, and you’ll be ready to register for competitions, view your rankings, and more.

Be sure to check this leading up to the competition and follow up with your national body if they haven’t activated it.

Final Tip: Don’t Wait Too Long

Many competitions fill up fast, and your membership must be active to register. Get it sorted now so you can focus on training and diving — not paperwork.

Need help? Feel free to reach out to your national admin or drop AIDA a line at support@aidainternational.org.
