How to Create (or Reactivate) Your AIDA Freediving Profile in 2025

Whether you’re just starting your freediving journey or planning to compete this year, having an active AIDA profile is essential for tracking results, joining competitions, and staying connected to the global freediving community.

If you already have an account but noticed your status is marked as Pending, Revoked, or No AIDA, don’t worry—it’s easy to sort out. AIDA recently sent out the following update:

All National Membership status has been reset effective 15th January 2025.

In order to reactivate your status please follow the following steps:

🔹 Visit your My Profile page
🔹 Check your membership status at the top — it should show as “Pending”
🔹 Contact your national AIDA admin (contacts are listed here) to complete your membership procedures

If your status is “Revoked” or “No AIDA”, follow these steps:

  1. Go to your My Profile page
  2. Scroll to the Membership section at the bottom
  3. Select your country’s AIDA National from the dropdown list
  4. Click Save — your status should now show as “Pending”
  5. Contact your national admins to complete your membership

Note: Each country may have slightly different procedures. Your national admins will guide you through the correct steps.

Step-by-Step: Creating or Updating Your AIDA Profile

Here’s a simplified guide if you’re starting from scratch or need a quick refresher:

1. Visit the AIDA Member Portal

Go to: https://members.aidainternational.org/Profile

2. Create an Account (if new)

If you’re new to AIDA, click Register and follow the instructions to set up your account.

3. Select Your National AIDA

At the bottom of the profile page, choose your country’s AIDA National from the membership dropdown. Click Save.

4. Contact Your National Admin

Each country has its own membership system. Use this page to find your national contact and send them a message. They’ll walk you through the rest.

5. Confirm Your Membership Status

Once approved, your status will change from Pending to Active, and you’ll be ready to register for competitions, view your rankings, and more.

Final Tip: Don’t Wait Too Long

Many competitions fill up fast, and your membership must be active to register. Get it sorted now so you can focus on training and diving — not paperwork.
