Freedive With The Largest Animal Alive

Can you imagine a 24m long, 90 tonne, gentle giant of the sea cruising past you in the open ocean?! Only a very small percentage of people in the world have had the opportunity to see a Blue Whale and an ever smaller percentage have been lucky enough to be in the water with one. 

During October and November, Pygmy Blue Whales migrate through the Strait of Ombai and Wetar in the waters of Timor Leste, known as a marine super highway. Timor Leste is a sanctuary for marine life. It has the highest diversity of cetaceans, fish species and coral species anywhere on Earth and has some of the best diving and snorkeling on the planet. These waters are also known for ‘super pods’ of dolphins. Here, it is not uncommon to see pods of a thousand dolphins!

For 7 days we will be cruising on this marine super highway, freediving with Blue Whales and many other whale species. These include beaked, humpback, sperm, killer, short-finned pilot,  melon-headed whales and many dolphin species. We will also visit the world famous Atauro Island for line diving, snorkeling and lots of epic photos. 

Two private boats wil take us to explore the waters with a whale guide, whale spotter and local captain on each boat. We have teamed up with one of the leading tour operators involved with the Marine Tourism Association of Timor Leste who are certified Responsible Whale Tour Operators. This trip is strictly limited to 10 guests. Accommodation and airport transfers are included in the price.
