Come along on this unique experience and spend one week freediving or snorkelling with Humpback Whales on the remote island of Eua, in the Kingdom of Tonga.
Throughout the week you will spend 5 full days out in the open water, boat diving and playing with Humpbacks on Eua’s well known ‘Humpback Highway’. We are the only boat operating in this area and our trips are guided by a local Captain, a marine biologist and our very own Dan Parsons, who has extensive experience and knowledge diving with whales, having previously worked with the famous marine biologist, Nan Hauser on an expedition to study them as well as being a safety diver on National Geographic’s documentary series ‘Secrets of the Whales’.
Group size is limited to 14 people per trip with accommodation and all meals included in the price. We will be staying at the newly renovated, rustic Deep Resort which has unparalleled views of whales swimming by, waving to us, and breaching all day long, as well as a private reef to explore in your downtime and some of the most incredible sunsets you will ever see! Our chef for the week has previously cooked for the King of Tonga and caters to all dietary needs. This trip is perfect for beginners as the trip also includes a basic freediving course!
Make sure to bring your hard drive and get your Instagram ready because Dan will be taking photos and footage of your interactions with the whales every day!

One Day In This Retreat
Each day on the retreat begins with a gentle breathwork or meditation session as the sun rises over the Pacific. After a light breakfast, we head out on the boat in search of humpback whales — spending hours in the water observing and freediving with these incredible beings in their natural habitat. Afternoons are for rest, reflection, or rainforest walks along ʻEua’s dramatic coastline. Evenings bring delicious local meals, optional theory or journaling sessions, and the quiet magic of island life under the stars.
