Step 1: Complete the AIDA Organiser Test

Before anything else, you must pass the AIDA Organiser Test, which covers safety, competition procedures, and administrative rules. Create an account and the test on the following link. You can make as many mistakes as you want, and there is a guide on how to use the platform, submit an event and fill in the questions.

📞 Step 2: Contact Your Local AIDA National Representative

Reach out to your country’s AIDA National (or regional rep) to notify them of your intent to organize a comp.
🔗 Find your national contact here

Or you can simply type in your search engine “AIDA + country”. The representantive’s contact should appear.

If your country doesn’t have an AIDA National, contact AIDA International directly at support@aidainternational.org

📆 Step 3: Choose Dates and Reserve the Venue

  • Secure a competition pool that meets AIDA standards
  • Pick your event dates, allowing enough time for approvals and athlete registration

📝 Step 4: Fill Out the Sanctioning Request Form

Submit your event for official AIDA recognition using the online Sanctioning Request Form.
Available on your AIDA profile under “Competitions” → “Create Competition”

You’ll need to include:

  • Event name, dates, location
  • Disciplines offered (STA, DYN, DYNB, DNF)
  • Judges, medical plan, safety setup, etc.

🧑‍⚖️ Step 5: Secure AIDA Judges

An AIDA Judge (Level E or above) must oversee the event.
Minimum requirements:

  • 1 Judge for National Ranking comps
  • 2 Judges (min. one Level D+) for World Record Status

Contact your national rep or AIDA Judge community early to confirm availability.

🚑 Step 6: Prepare Medical and Safety Equipment

You must provide:

  • Oxygen supply
  • First aid kit
  • CPR-trained staff
  • Access to emergency services
  • Risk assessment plan

Refer to the AIDA Competition Safety Guidelines for full details. This you will find in your Dashboard, once you’ve completed your AIDA Organizer test.

🌐 Step 7: Publish and Promote the Competition

Once sanctioned, your event will appear on the AIDA Competition Calendar.
Create:

  • Athlete registration form
  • Competition poster
  • Event schedule and rules briefing

📊 Step 8: Run the Competition & Submit Results

During the event:

  • Follow AIDA protocols strictly
  • Record performances accurately
  • Judges must complete official result forms

After the event:

  • Submit results and judge reports through the AIDA Competition Portal within 48 hours
