Jasri has a right break onto a rocky beach that is only surf able at high tide.

Its not crowded, with only 4 other surfers out when we went.

Surfing 45 min ride from Amed

It’s roughly 45min scooter ride from Amed. (Or 2 hours if you take the scenic ride along the coast).

Get surf report from the locals WhatsApp group

There is a WhatsApp group that does daily surf videos. They have great recommendations of when to go. We were told to come around 10am as thats when it would pick up.

When we arrived at 10am, the surf wasn’t great. But it picked up very fast in the next 30min and turned into a great day!

Board Rental

We rented boards from Jasri Dalem Surf Retreat, right out front of the break. (Much more convent then carrying a board 45min from Amed)

They have about 10 short boards in varying condition, overall seem okay. Not new, but nice enough.

They had two longboards that damaged and un-usable. Hopefully they get repaired.

I chose to rent the one foamy they had, as I wanted something bigger then a shorty.
It was well worn, but I had a blast on it.

They also had an old rescue board, that I was very tempted to use.

Jasri Surf Retreat

The surf resort is very hospitable, with a small kitchen, pocari sweat for sale, day beds and some great seats to watch the surf while you eat or relax. Some Nasi Gorang and Banana pancakes went down very well after a long surf.
